New England Equal Best Victory Run From Tom Brady Years with Win Against Jets

First-year player TreVeyon Henderson has recorded five scores in the present year

New England tied their top unbeaten stretch from the Tom Brady period as they defeated AFC East rivals the New York Jets 27-14 in the NFL

Rookie Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the New England squad claimed an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Brady's closing campaign with the team in 2019

QB Maye passed for 281 yards and a score, connecting on 25 of 34 passes

Victory extends the New England's lead at the top of the AFC East as they improved to nine victories against two losses, with the Jets at the foot after dropping to two victories and eight defeats

The opposing team had scored first at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Fields scoring a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's first possession

But the New England responded in the second period as Henderson scored two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier hauled in a throw from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21 to 7

"It was a big time for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep getting these reps," Maye commented on the rookie. "He aims to be excellent."

Fields threw to John Metchie toward the end of the third period to reduce the lead for the Jets but Borregales booted a two field goals in the final period as the home side sealed the victory
