The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's important Premier League match against local rivals Arsenal.

The young English international was unavailable due to a fractured toe sustained after an unfortunate incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “Everyone is happy.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games across all competitions, netting two goals.

The Merseyside club have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's sending off for an on-field altercation with teammate Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegal midfielder was dismissed just early on into the match after striking Keane amid a dispute over a poor pass.

Gueye quickly said sorry, and the teammates were seen reconciled later in a light-hearted social media video.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was denied, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, making Everton depleted for their next fixture against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” manager David Moyes said. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

When asked about more issues from the incident, Moyes added: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

Third Story: Wissa Trains with Newcastle for First Time since Injury

Newcastle United's new signing Yoane Wissa has trained with his squad for the first time since suffering a knee injury shortly after his arrival from his former club in September.

Head coach Eddie Howe announced the news on Friday but withheld a possible return date for the player.

The team signed the forward for a significant fee to replace Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool for a record-breaking sum.

Unfortunately, Wissa was hurt while on national team service before he could make his debut for Newcastle.

“He is progressing nicely, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was extremely satisfied with how he looked,” Howe said. “That’s his first time competitively with the group. Let’s see how he responds today.”

The manager added: “We have a target return date, but it’s probably best if I keep that to myself. We aim to avoid letting people down. Of course, we want to include him as soon as possible.”

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that the reigning champions' current slump “doesn’t really matter” as his team prepares to take on the struggling top-flight title holders.

The Hammers will have available Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are stepping up their return from injury.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Nottingham Forest against The Seagulls

Nottingham Forest's manager Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the team's home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The defender was feeling his hamstring after the comfortable Europa League victory, but Dyche indicated the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, Ola Aina (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to be unavailable.

Sixth Story: Glasner: European Defeat Won't Hinder Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner believes that the setback of Thursday's European loss to the French side is a indication of how much progress the team has advanced in competing on two fronts.
